Clino Trini Castelli

"Shadow Rooms"

Barely considered by the plastic languages of the Modern movement, dimness finds nowadays in the environmental project a wide range of expressive opportunities enhanced by a large historical and emotional background.

Biography

Born in 1944, Clino Castelli is a major figure on the international design scene. With Castelli Design, his Milan-based studio, he has spent 40 years working on the renewal of plastic languages applied to the form of industrial products, pursued through the concept of “No-Form”. As opposed to traditional compositional methods, Castelli has focused on the design of the more intangible aspects of figuration, like color and material, light and sound, emphasizing the virtues of a sensorial approach to art and design. His work has received important European, American and Japanese prizes, including two ADI Compasso d’Oro awards.
