Four unmissable appointments for design lovers.

The Historical Buildings Tour of Bergamo presents Dimore Design 2018.

A series of events dedicated to the tradition and the fusion of design, art, history, architecture.
Different worlds, disciplines and cultures are once again interweaved in four Historical Buildings, interpreted by four major designers.

12th September – Palazzo Agliardi – at 21:00

Lorenzo Damiani talks

Born in 1972, Lorenzo Damiani received his degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan, and works in furniture and product design, collaborating with several companies including Campeggi, Cappellini and Ikea.

The Triennale Design Museum dedicated to him the solo exhibition “Ma Dove Sono Finiti Inventori? Lorenzo Damiani” (Where Have All the Inventors Gone? Lorenzo Damiani), curated by Marco Romanelli and “Prova a Prendermi” (Try to Catch Me), curated by Silvana Annicchiarico. The Achille Castiglioni Foundation hosted the monographic exhibition “Lorenzo Damiani: Senza Stile ” (Styleless), curated by Giovanna Castiglioni. His projects are part of the permanent collection of the Chicago Athenaeum, the Triennale Museum and the Vitra Design Museum.

19th September – Palazzo Terzi – at 21:00

deepdesign talks

Matteo Bazzicalupo (Parma) and Raffaella Mangiarotti (Genoa) graduated with honours in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1991. In 1995 they met in the editorial offices of “Modo”, a magazine founded by Alessandro Mendini. After several years of experience conducted individually, they founded the deepdesign studio which has developed product projects and evolutionary scenarios in different fields in these years of activity: from food packaging and consumer electronics, to furnishings and cosmetics.

Matteo and Raffaella have held various lectures at universities and design institutes throughout Italy. The Dandelion lamp is part of the Permanent Collection of Design and Architecture at the MoMA in New York.

26th September – Palazzo Moroni – at 21:00

Daniela Puppa talks

A graduate of the Polytechnic University of Milan, she works in the fields of product and fashion design and has made style and elegance her hallmarks. After working at CASABELLA she participated in creating MODO. She has designed for several companies in the furniture, lighting and textile design sectors. She collaborates as an accessories designer for the LVMH group and Dior. Daniela Puppa teaches at the Polytechnic University, IULM and the Domus Academy, where she holds seminars and is a spokesperson for projects that deal with the connections between fashion and design systems.

Odo Fioravanti talks
